Australind is located 11 km to the North. East of Bunbury on the Leschenault Estaury Some of the main attractions are fishing, crabbing, boating, swimming on the Estuary and the Collie River.
Attractions in the town
Church of St.Nicholas built in the year 1842 is the smallest church in Western Australia. A scenic drive of 2 km along the Cathedral Avenue will take you to Pioneer Memorial located on Old Coast Road. In the month of November wine festival is conducted and in the month of March one can experience Ocean festival.
Attractions in the Area
Leschenault Inlet Fishing Groyne is an excellent fishing spot; this is located along old pipeline which is 1 km to the south of Australind. Australind – Bunbury drive provides good coastal scenery, crabbing and picnic spots. There are some pleasant beach towns to the north at Binningup and Myalup which are located 26 km and 30 km from Australind. 2 km to the north of Australind there is a Cemetry which has pioneer graves and beautiful wildflowers in season.
