Corryong is near the New South Wales border in the far north east of Victoria. It is near the very upper end of the Murray river and it is surrounded by the unspoilt beauty of rivers, forests and mountains. Corryong's main road through it is called the Murray Valley Highway.
Between Jardine Street and Donaldson Street is Corryong's main shopping area along Hansen Street. There is a very big sports arena with sports such as golf, tennis and lawn bowls in Jardine Street.
Playles lookout is accessed by Back Thowgla Road and provides a very good view of the town.
The Man from Snowy River Museum is located at the corner of Hansen Street and Mckay Street. This will give you an insight into the story behind the Man from Snowy River.
Corryong is a gateway to the Kosciuszko National Park and the Snowy mountains. The Towong Gap Lookout gives beautiful views of the surrounding area.
