Crystal Brook is located 25 km South East of Port Pirie and it is a service centre for the sheep, beef and cereal industries of the region.

National trust Museum is located on the Brandis Street which has local history collection in first two-storeyed building in the town. It was originally a butcher`s shop and bakery. It also has an underground bake house behind building. Crystal Crafts is located on the Bowman Street which has local craft for display.

Bowman Park is located 5 km to the east and has surrounding ruins of Bowman family property Crystal Brook Run and it was established in the year 1847. Trend Drinks Factory is the home of Old Style Ginger Beer; tours are conducted into the factory. At Redhill 25 km to the south there is riverside walk, museum, craft shop and antique shop. Salt lakes are present around Snowtown which is 50 km to the south of Crystal brook. On Lochiel-Ninnes Road, there are lookouts which offer superb views of inland lakes and country side.
