Culcairn was initially thought to be a service centre for the Sydney – Melbourne railway line back in 1880`s. This town is known for its famous bush ranger Dan Morgan who began his life of crime from Culcairn. Underground water supply is the main reason for Culcairn to blossom green, underground water supply was discovered in the year 1926.
