Museum at Hawker Motors is located at the corner of Wilpena and Cradock Roads. Some of the historic buildings located in Hawker are Post office built in the year 1882 which is located in Elder Tce and Old railway station complex which is located on the Leigh Creek Road and was established in the year 1885. During the months of September and October Art Exhibition is conducted.

Entry points are present for Heysen Trail for walkers and Mawson Trail for Cyclists. Walking trail and scenic lookouts are located at Jarvis Hill which is 7 km to the south west of Hawker. Rock paintings are present at Yourambulla Caves which is present 12 km to the south of Hawker. Kanyaka Death Rock looks over permanent waterhole which was once an Aboriginal ceremonial ground.
