Huonville travel

Located about 40 km. southwest of Hobart, the year-round temperatures range from a comfortable 55-70 degrees Fahrenheit.  In March, visitors can enjoy the regions harvest at the annual "Taste of the Huon" celebration.

Tudor Court Model Village
Just five minutes drive out of Huonville at 2273 Huon Highway, Hounville, Tasmania, is the Tudor Court Model Village which is an open air museum.  It consists of a replica Tudor village, complete with thatched roof cottages and windmills.  A German Model Train World is also located here for tourists enjoyment.

Huon Jet
Huon Jet provides jet boat rides up the Huon River for an exciting way to experience the rapids.  Less adventurous souls can rent a paddleboat instead.

Applehead Village at Glen Huon
At the end of that jet boat ride, tourists will be at Glen Huon, where they can see hundreds of applehead dolls at the Applehead Village.  See miniature replicas of Snow White and other fairy tale and historic figures with heads made of apples.  The village is located at 124 Watsons Road, Glen Huon.
