Kadina

Kadina is the largest town on Yorke Peninsula and is the chief commercial centre for Agricultural rich region. Kadina witnessed the copper mining boom during 1800`s and early 1900`s.

Attractions in town
Royal exchange is located on Digby Street with iron-lace balconies and shady verandahs. National Trust Kadina Heritage Museum which is located on the Matta Road, access to the museum is through Kadina – Moonta Road or the Russell Street.

Matta house was built in the year 1863 and is the former home of manager of Matta Matta Copper Mine and this home has agricultural machinery, blacksmith`s shop, printing museum, etc. Banking and Currency Museum is located on the Graves Street. In the month of May Kernewek Lowender, a Cornish festival is held in conjuction with Wallaroo and Moonta only during odd years.

Attractions in the Area
Yorke Peninsula Field days is located at Paskeville and it is located 19 km to the South East of Kadina and it is being celebrated since 1884 and it occurs only during odd years.
