Majestic Kobeelya mansion was built in the year 1902 on the Brownie Street and it is now a country retreat now owned by Baptist Church. Clive Street has miniature steam railway. Dore Street Katanning has country`s largest country based sheep-selling facility in Western Australia. Metro Meats meatworks is present on the Wagin Road. In the month of February Triathlon is conducted and in the month of December Cabooodle is organized.
