Kimba is a small town located on the Eyre Highway and it is 155 km to the South West of Port Augusta. Kimba is a sheep and wheat growing country.

Historical museum is located on Eyre Highway which features Pioneer House and was established in the year 1908. The Big Galah which is 8m high and is locally crafted and mined in jade at Kimba Halfway across Australia Gem Shop.

Sturt Desert Pea nursery is located on the Eyre Highway which is 1 km to the West of Kimba. Walking trail of 1 km to the North East of Kimba will take you through meanders which passes through bushland to White`s knob lookout which gives 360 degrees view of Kimba. Lake Gilles Conservation Park which is located 20 km to the North East of Kimba has a habitat for mallee fowl. Caralue Bluff is located 20 km to the South West of Kimba and is good for rock climbing. At the base of Darke Peak which is 40 km to the South West of Kimba there is a memorial to John Charles Darke who was speared to death in 1884.
