Marysville is located 34k north east of Healesville in Murrindindi. The area is heavily forested due to its location in the Great Dividing Ranges near the main Maroondah Highway.
Marysville town center is of Murchison Street and has been built to fit in with the local landscape. The Steavenson River runs next to the center through the main park Gallipoli Park. There is a footy oval with a walking track and a lake.
South East of the town is the Steavenson Falls which are among the highest in Victoria.
Marysville is well known for bushwalking. Keppels Lookout is a short walk and offers stunning views of the area.
Lady Talbot Drive gives access to attractions such as the Taggerty River crossing and The Beeches Rainforest Walk. Keppel Falls and Phantom Falls are also set along this route.
Lake Mountain offers cross country skiing and fantastic views of the Victorian Alps in winter and is used for bushwalking in summer.
