Yamba is the principal resort on the Clarence Valley and situated at the mouth of the Clarence River and 14km off the Pacific Highway. Yamba is surrounded by the Yuraygir National Park, the Clarence River and Pacific Ocean.

Flinders Park overlooks Yamba's main surfing beach and named after Mathew Flinders who discovered Shoal Bay on 12 July 1799.
Maclean
A small village often referred to as the "Scottish Town" and famous for the Highland Gathering every Easter.
Norfolk Park
The reserve is named after Mathew Flinders sloop MMS Norfolk.
Pilot Hill
The lighthouse on Pilot Hill dates from 1955 and replaces one built in 1879.Memorail plaques have been mounted on the lighthouse and nearby rock to honour the life and work of Mathew Flinders and James Freeburn.
